is this sthe same documentary as "one day of war" with the british journalist and her husband? The documentary that aired on BBC? If not, i'll have to check out this one. A group of people from college might go protest and do a small demonstration in front of the white house sometime this summer. It should be quite interesting. It's amazing that the Hmong leaders in the community have risen up to the political world... but yet we're not seeing any awareness or attention to shine light into the problems in laos. I'm looking at it from another perspective... maybe they dont want to bring up an issue like this when it might hurt their career. But regardless of that, us students are going to be the next leaders, so might as well do something about it now!

Each of us have a chance to make a difference to our lives and the lives of our people. War isn't the answer. What we need to do is continue on exposing these atrocities to the world. Let the world know of such human right violations. Together with world leaders, we'll resolve these matters.

I've seen the videos and its no joke. Lets find a way to help our fellow Hmong people. Remember that it is real and our parents and grandparents went through the same experience.

you know what? we need a REAL leader... it seems like vang pao aint doing anything about it.... us hmongs shouldnt run anymore. if we want peace, we should FIGHT for it. lets build up an army of hmongs and show em what were made of! at least that way, we would die fighting, not running.
I totally agrees on die fighting than running. Submission is out of the question... We need to glorify our past.

As I had always told my dad when he talk about the Vietnam war to me. I'd told him that "you guys should have take down the American instead of the Vietnamese". Think about if there was no war, what would us be like now days in Laos? One of our Hmong could have been the president of Laos. I guess we choose the wrong path. Now what do we have? Nothing! Our fellows still being kill one by one in the gungle. They died because of the American!
American are trouble makers! Just like what they're doing now in Iraq. believe me, they will never win the war in Iraq. Soon they're going to pull their troops back home and that's the end. They will gain nothing but lost life....

umm....no offense but the reason he is in jail is because he was trying to help out his people in loas. Lets be realistic now, most Hmong people who are already in America will probably choose not to go back to help. they would rather help with money. This is why we (the hmong people) donated all that money for Gen. Vang Pao to buy those weapons so our people over there can help protect themselves. the war is long over. all they want is peace now. And that is not happeining becuase nobody is willing to help the hmong people. Not even the American Governemnt (who were the people that got us in the mess in the first place).
