Bush didn't do anything about this maybe Obama will if he's proposed with this because he always does something about any problems in america.

Obama can't do anything about it. Why? Because Congress will not allow him to. I'm sure he doesn't even want to consider doing anything about it.
There is nothing for the US to profit by helping out the hmong refugees. Plus, the government already has a few wars in it's hands, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan. Why would the US hold a rescue mission when they have yet to rescue their own?

It's disappointing to see how no one could do anything to help end the suffering of our Hmong People that are being hunted down like animals.  And to be honest, I think the main reason is because no one really cares.  Some do, but it's not enough to make a difference.  We need connections, connections that would make the whole world see our suffering.  For example, if you've watch American Idol before, every season they fund raise money for causes such as Malaria in Africa.  Or someone could make a movie based on how we helped the United States and in return, our people are getting hunted down like animals.  By doing so, it could open up opportunities to end the suffering of our people.

Yep yep, very much agreed. People care, it's just that they don't care enough. The people who CAN do something about don't care enough. Before we can influence government, we ourselves have to be involved in government. We the people have no real power. Citizenship is a mere ant in the eyes of government.

It is truly sad that our own is going through this and there isn't much you nor I can do. However, I honestly believe that in order to help someone else, you have to be able to help yourself first. If you want to make a difference in someone else life, start with yours first.

Instead of running around like a bunch of headless chicken with no goals in life, make some. All success start from within and in order for us to reach out to anyone, as many stated we need network and connection. However, you also have to consider that since our minority group is small, the obvious situation isn't being look upon because we are just a small percentage compared to the amount of the % in say Africa. It doesn't help that Laos government is covering this up too, therefore, regardless how we presented this to the public, there will always be corruption and denial from within.

Therefore, as a Hmong person myself, I do look forward to the day where I am able to open my arms and wallet up and welcome those that have suffered. My heart breaks to those children who are ill and are born into a world that they didn't deserve to know and suffer. It's a long term goal of mine to hopefully one day support those that need my help the most, be helped and cared for.

Revenge isn't the key to winning this battle, it's education and putting our minds together. Then again, I've come to also realize that Hmong people are rather greedy when it comes to money and would rather buy themselves a 2 story house than help their dying uncle in the hospital. I could be wrong, but just based on personal experiences. We're also stubborn people and narrow minded thinkers. Majority of Hmong people think that the world revolves around just the Hmong people, sadly that's not the case. I don't mean to offend anyone, but truth be said, Hmong people living in the U.S can't even love each other, how can this reach for cry reach our hearts.

All we see is a movie and people being killed and many say they feel bad and sorry and want to help, but majority are just full of talks and once they put the movie away, it's out of sight and out of mind. Again, just majority, not saying everyone.

Hence for change to happen, it starts from within. Our voices can only be heard when we've come to term that we are one group and that we need to work together, but the probability of this happening is probably more rare than winning the lottery in this generation. However, I could be completely wrong too, who knows what the future may hold. Until then, don't stop believing and don't stop educating yourself, because education paves way for such ideas to be hatched and carry through.
